Barin Sports and Levski Sofia Extend Partnership to 2028 - Now Covering the Academy

Barin Sports is pleased to confirm a two-year extension of our partnership with Levski Sofia, keeping us side by side through the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons. Recognizing the mutual value and looking to secure a long-term relationship, the two sides negotiated the extension a year before their current deal was set to expire. The renewed agreement also expands to include Levski’s Academy, ensuring that the next generation of “the Blues” benefit from the same high-performance standards and data-driven insights used by the first team.

A partnership built on trust – and proven on the pitch

Levski Sofia and Barin Sports began working together in 2021, when the club began using the Barin Sports PRO GPS system to track the performance of it’s first team players. In 2024, they upgraded the collaboration to integrate Barin’s performance technologies and services into daily training and match preparation. The agreement – announced by the club and Bulgarian media at the time – reflected a strategic push to implement data-led player monitoring and load management across the squad.

Since then, Levski has celebrated a number of important milestones while using the Barin Sports PRO system. In 2022, the club lifted the Bulgarian Cup after defeating CSKA Sofia in the final, before contesting the Supercup later that summer against Ludogorets. Their European campaigns soon followed with memorable victories against PAOK in 2022 and another continental run in 2023/24 that included a high-profile clash with Eintracht Frankfurt. On the domestic front, Levski secured the runner-up spot in the Bulgarian First League in 2024/25, underlining their consistency and growth. Most recently, in 2025/26, the club advanced to the UEFA Conference League play-off round after overcoming Sabah, continuing to represent Bulgarian football at the European stage.

What the extension means

The new agreement ensures that Barin Sports will remain alongside Levski Sofia until 2028, providing continuity in the use of advanced performance analysis to support the first team. Just as importantly, the extension expands the collaboration to the club’s Academy, bringing the same data-driven methodology to the development of young talents. With unified insights across the entire structure of the club, Levski’s coaching and medical staff can now monitor progression from the academy to the senior squad, personalise training loads, and better safeguard player welfare – building a foundation for both immediate success and long-term sustainability.

“We’re proud to continue by Levski’s side through 2028. Expanding to the Academy shows the club’s long-term vision: build sustainably, develop smart, and compete consistently. Our job is to provide the most actionable, trustworthy data in Bulgarian football – every day, every session,”

said Vladimir Grozdanov, co-founder and CEO of Barin Sports.
