High speeds, racing heartbeats, and intense emotions in the heart of Sofia

Over 40,000 people gathered to witness the unique spectacle that Red Bull drivers brought to the streets of Sofia during the Red Bull Showrun. Barin Sports was the technological partner of the event, getting behind the scenes of the most popular motorsports in the world.

A motorsport celebration – that’s the best way to describe the breathtaking event, offering a spectrum of sensations thanks to Red Bull’s ambassadors. Formula 1 legend David Coulthard ignited not only the streets of Sofia but also the hearts of the fans. Bulgaria’s rising star, Nikola Tsolov, made his debut in an F1 car and sent the home crowd into a frenzy of joy. “The Drift King of the Middle East” and world record holder Abdo Feghali added incredible drift dynamics, while Lithuanian stunt rider Aras Gibieza contributed to the motor spectacle with his extreme performances.

A team of sports scientists from Barin Sports got up close with all these names and their pre-race routines. We dove behind the scenes, providing full data analysis and real-time biometric readings from the drivers during their runs. We were almost literally able to peer inside the body of a Formula 1 driver while he is experiencing the adrenaline of high-speed racing. Thanks to our one-of-a-kind high-tech real-time monitoring system, the tens of thousands of fans were able to understand what a driver goes through every second of the race. The data we collected from this unique motorsport context will serve us in future analyses and allow us to deliver even more advanced insights and interpretations of the human body.
